Description
Idyllwild is a three-piece set in printed silk. The short kurta has a creamy yellow ground with a scattered red floral print — small, delicate flowers distributed across the surface without a fixed repeating pattern. The kurta has a scalloped neckline and long sleeves with embellished cuffs. It falls to just above the knee.
The gharara is tiered — three separate layers of the same printed silk, each one finishing at a slightly different length so the tiers fall in a cascade. The tiers open and separate as she moves. The print on the gharara matches the kurta surface, so the two pieces read as a single continuous textile rather than a matched set.
The dupatta is in the same silk — flowy and unstructured. It is designed to be draped rather than pinned, worn loosely over one shoulder or carried in the hand. It is the lightest element of the set and the one that moves most freely.
Idyllwild is the most traditionally structured piece in the Silk Collection — it is the only set with a gharara, which gives it a connection to the Rumor world of Uraan while the California palette and printed silk place it clearly in the coastal sensibility of this collection.
Named for Idyllwild, California — a mountain town surrounded by pine forest, cooler and quieter than the coast. The kind of place where flowers grow without anyone planting them and the light through the trees looks different from anywhere else.

Care
- Cleaning Dry clean only. The printed silk and the tiered gharara construction both require professional cleaning to preserve the print registration and the tier shape.
- Storage Hang the kurta and gharara on padded hangers. The gharara is best stored hanging — folding the tiers leaves crease marks that are difficult to remove. The dupatta can be folded loosely or rolled.
- Steaming Steam all three pieces from the reverse side on a low setting, 15 cm from the fabric. Printed silk can develop marks if steamed at too close a range on the right side — always work from the inside. The tiered gharara can be steamed tier by tier, working from the innermost layer outward.
- Ironing All three pieces can be pressed on the reverse side with a pressing cloth on the lowest silk setting. Press in the direction of the grain. Avoid pressing the scalloped neckline directly — steam that area instead to preserve the scallop shape. The gharara tiers can be lightly pressed on the reverse side individually.

The nature of fabric dyes, conditions during the dyeing process, photography, lighting, and individual screen settings can all influence the way a color appears.

Handwoven and handcrafted textiles may reveal irregular threads, variations in the weave, or small marks left by the making process. These are inherent to the material and a quiet signature of its authenticity. We believe the beauty of something made by hand lies, in part, in the evidence that a hand was there.
Measurements
Because our pieces are cut, stitched, and finished by hand, measurements may vary slightly from one garment to another. A variation of up to ±2 inches falls within our accepted tolerance.
No two handmade pieces will ever be entirely identical. We would not want them to be.
Make it Modest
Adds full-sleeve lining, inner layering beneath any sheer fabric, and an extended slip through the midriff, so the piece stays fully covered without changing its silhouette or design.
