Description
Celestine is a two-piece set comprising a full-length gown and a net sash. The gown is in black net over a digitally printed crepe lining — the print on the lining is visible through the sheer net as a subtle pattern beneath the surface embellishment.
The gown has a round neckline with a pearl border, long sleeves in sheer net, and an A-line silhouette that widens gradually from the waist. Across the full surface of the gown — neckline to hem — crystals and sequins are placed in starburst motifs. Each starburst consists of a larger crystal at the center with smaller crystals and sequins radiating outward. The motifs are distributed across the gown without a repeating pattern, in the manner of stars in a clear sky.
The back of the gown has a deep U-shaped panel of sheer net — unlined and unembellished — that reveals the skin beneath. This is not a standard open back. The U-shape extends from the shoulder blades to the mid-back, and the edges are finished with a sequin detail that frames the panel without drawing excessive attention to it.
The net sash is a single length of black net that can be worn two ways — draped around the neck and over one shoulder, or tied at the waist as an accent. It is unembellished. Its function is to add a layer of movement or volume depending on how it is worn.

Care
- Cleaning Dry clean only. The starburst crystal embellishment across the full gown surface makes any form of home washing impossible.
- Storage Hang the gown on a wide, padded hanger. The gown is long and heavy at the hem — do not fold it. Store in a garment bag to prevent the crystal embellishment from catching on other fabrics. The sash can be rolled loosely and stored inside the garment bag.
- Steaming Steam the net gown on a low setting, 20 cm from the fabric, from the reverse side where possible. The crepe lining can be steamed lightly from the inside. Do not apply direct steam to the crystal embellishment on the right side — sustained heat will loosen crystal adhesion over time. Work in short passes rather than holding the steamer in one place.
- Ironing Do not iron the gown. The combination of net, crystal embellishment, and crepe lining makes ironing unsafe for all three layers simultaneously. Steam only.

These are inherent to the material and a quiet signature of its authenticity. We believe the beauty of something made by hand lies, in part, in the evidence that a hand was there.
Measurements
Because our pieces are cut, stitched, and finished by hand, measurements may vary slightly from one garment to another. A variation of up to ±2 inches falls within our accepted tolerance.
No two handmade pieces will ever be entirely identical. We would not want them to be.
Make it Modest
Adds full-sleeve lining, inner layering beneath any sheer fabric, and an extended slip through the midriff, so the piece stays fully covered without changing its silhouette or design.
