Description
Palm Springs is a silk kaftan in pink ombre with heavy pearl embellishment. The kaftan silhouette is wide and flowing — it falls from the shoulders without a defined waist, which is what makes it effortless to wear. The sleeves are long and wide, tapering slightly at the cuff. The neckline is round with a dense concentration of pearls that forms a collar effect.
Across the full body of the kaftan — front and back — individual pearls are scattered in a distribution that becomes denser toward the neckline and lighter toward the hem. The pearls vary slightly in size, which gives the surface movement rather than uniformity. When the fabric moves, the pearls shift with it, catching light from different angles simultaneously.
The ombre moves from a pale, barely-there blush at the shoulders to a deep, saturated hot pink at the hem. The gradient is continuous and smooth. The effect is that the piece appears to grow in intensity as it falls — quieter at the top where the face is, more vivid at the bottom where the movement is.

Care
- Cleaning Dry clean only. The density of pearl embellishment means the piece cannot be hand washed — individual pearls will loosen in water and the ombre dye will bleed.
- Storage Hang on a wide padded hanger. Do not place anything on top of the embellished surface in storage — sustained pressure will shift the pearls over time.
- Steaming Steam from the reverse side only, on a low setting, held 20 cm from the fabric. Do not steam the pearl surface directly — the adhesive holding the pearls weakens under sustained heat. Work in short passes. The wide sleeves can be steamed by hanging the kaftan and letting the steam work from below.
- Ironing Do not iron. The combination of pearl embellishment across the full surface and the ombre dye makes ironing unsafe for this piece. Steam only.

Measurements
Because our pieces are cut, stitched, and finished by hand, measurements may vary slightly from one garment to another. A variation of up to ±2 inches falls within our accepted tolerance.
No two handmade pieces will ever be entirely identical. We would not want them to be.

Adds full-sleeve lining, inner layering beneath any sheer fabric, and an extended slip through the midriff, so the piece stays fully covered without changing its silhouette or design.
