Description
Swanspell is a three-piece set in ivory net with gold zardozi embroidery. The kurta has a square neckline and three-quarter sleeves with banded cuffs, both lined in cotton silk. The kurta surface carries zardozi embroidery — hand-worked gold metallic thread tracing organic floral curves across the net — alongside sequin embellishment. The floral motif is intentionally irregular: the curves do not repeat precisely, which is characteristic of handworked embroidery.
The gharara is full-length and wide, in the same ivory net over a cotton silk lining. The net surface of the gharara carries the same floral embroidery as the kurta, continuing the motif across the full skirt. The flare of the gharara begins at the hip and widens significantly at the hem.
The dupatta is ivory net, lightly embellished at the border. It is worn draped and finishes the look without competing with the embroidery on the kurta and gharara.

Care
- Cleaning Dry clean only. Zardozi embroidery is worked through the net surface and will loosen if wet.
- Storage Hang all three pieces on padded hangers. The gharara is heavy at the hem due to the embroidery density — use a hanger wide enough to support the waistband without distorting it.
- Steaming Steam all three pieces from the reverse side on a low setting. The zardozi embroidery thread is metallic and can discolor under direct high-heat steam — always work from the inside. Hold the steamer 20 cm from the fabric and move continuously rather than holding in one place.
- Ironing Do not iron any piece directly. If absolutely necessary, use a pressing cloth on the cotton silk lining sections only, on the lowest setting. Never apply iron pressure to the zardozi embroidery.

These are inherent to the material and a quiet signature of its authenticity. We believe the beauty of something made by hand lies, in part, in the evidence that a hand was there.
Measurements
Because our pieces are cut, stitched, and finished by hand, measurements may vary slightly from one garment to another. A variation of up to ±2 inches falls within our accepted tolerance.
No two handmade pieces will ever be entirely identical. We would not want them to be.
Make it Modest
Adds full-sleeve lining, inner layering beneath any sheer fabric, and an extended slip through the midriff, so the piece stays fully covered without changing its silhouette or design.
